The Bubba Gump Shrimp company was first thought of by Forrest Gump and his best friend Benjamin Buford 'Bubba' Blue during their time spent together in the Vietnam war. Bubba didn't survive the war but Forrest did and in memory of his friend, Forrest went on to create the company they had dreamed about. He named the company after himself and his best friend 'Bubba'.
